Arts Culture Kyrios 8

Our Activities

Even though the curriculum makes provision for a lot of physical activities throughout the phases in subjects like life orientation and life skills, we do also offer sporting and cultural activities. Kyrios takes part in the Central Dragon’s League (CDL), a Bloemfontein private schools initiative. The league offers mainly netball and soccer fixtures and has grown over the past few years.

SPORT: We currently offer netball, soccer, athletics and cross-country. We have also introduced our learners to field hockey. Kyrios won the CDL floating trophy for the following: U9 soccer (2018), U15 soccer (2019) and U19 soccer (2019). We have had previous athletic participation on district and provincial levels.

CULTURE: The school offers Art club, Bible Study, Chess, Choir (FP), Debating, Eisteddfod, Newspaper, Olympiads and Eco Club.
In 2019 three of our secondary school learners were selected to take part in the Nationals Public Speaking Competition.
From 2021 we also offer several cultural classes after school hours. These classes are offered by musicians and artists from Bloemfontein. (Arts and Culture Classes paid separately from school fees.)

  • Dance – Grades: All
